Sébastien Jallade
Sébastien Jallade is a journalist and author of documentary films who graduated from the University of Paris-10 and Paris-1 Sorbonne. He first started trekking on the Qhapaq Ñan in 2007. For six months, he walked 1,200 kilometers along the Great Inca Road and carried out recorded over thirty hours of sound recordings and interviews in the heart of the Andes. In 2008 and 2009, he undertook the geo-photographic and documentary inventory of 3,000 kilometers of the Qhapaq Ñan in Peru and Bolivia. He walked through the Peruvian Andes from west to east, from Zaňa to Chachapoyas, then from north to south, from Cajamarca to Paria (Bolivia) via Cusco, Lake Titicaca and La Paz (Bolivia).Sébastien Jallade has written , L’Appel de la route. Petite mystique du voyageur en partance (Transboréal, Paris, 2009). He is also the co-author of a film, Qhapaq Ñan, la voix des Andes, (Elkin, 2009). He is now working on another documentary film about an Andean community radio in the cordillera of Vilcabamba and Rio Urubamba valley in the Peruvian Amazon region. Olivier Archambeau
Associate Professor at the University of Paris-VIII and researcher at the CNRS (Department of Geography). In 2006, he set the basis for the geo-photographic inventory of the great historical and mythical roads of the world. The main thrust of this research program is applying a geographic methodology to build a comprehensive iconographic inventory of landscapes and human activities along these roads. Olivier Archambeau is also the President of the Society of French Explorers and the founder of Expéditions Géographiques Françaises and of the Pôle image of the University of Paris-VIII, Vincennes-Saint-Denis, France.
